Environmental Stewardship: A Mutual Commitment

When you do business with Enterprise Fleet Management, you are partnering with a corporate family that takes environmental stewardship very seriously.

Beyond our aggressive efforts to build a fuel-efficient, low-emissions fleet, we have made substantial long-term investments in systemic efforts to address environmental challenges. These include:

  • A LEED™-certified "Green Building" to house Enterprise Fleet Management's National Operations Center.3
  • Research funding for alternative fuels — a $25 million grant to create the Enterprise Institute for Renewable Fuels at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, renowned center with expertise in plant oils.
  • The 50 Million Tree Pledge — a $50 million gift that created an innovative partnership with the National Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service to underwrite the planting of 1 million trees a year for 50 years in national forests across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

While we do not expect our efforts to provide a total solution, we do believe that they are making a difference. We welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with you to build a more sustainable future for our communities — and for the world.

3Silver certification awarded in 2005 by the U.S. Green Building Council as part of its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program — for following a variety of environmentally friendly construction practices.
